Band members line up for the Miraculous Medicine Show

Hurry, Hurry, Hurry! Step right up and see the Show!

Styled after the old medicine shows that rolled into town and attracted and held their audiences with a combination of music and far-fetched spectacle while selling seemingly miraculous elixirs.

Kate Lissauer, (who hails from West Maryland, USA,) and her Buffalo Gals create the atmosphere of fun, excitement and frivolity that surrounds the medicine show, all wrapped around the great old-time music and amazing percussive step-dance of the American country tradition performed by Sibylle Riesen who describes herself as the foot musician as her dance provides the “drum“rhythm in the band.

“Their intoxicating mix of Appalachian, Cajun, Blues and Bluegrass, delivered in a very authentic string band style, sets them apart from many of the UK and US based string band acts around today” – Maverick Magazine.

So come along folks, and expect to hear some of your favourite music from the likes of The Carter Family, Pete Seeger, Woody Guthrie and Hank Williams led by champion fiddler and banjo player Kate mixed with good humour!
