Fundraising for Church Stretton Christmas Lights

Church Stretton Chamber of Trade are bringing a Pig and Cider night to the Silvester Horne Institute on Friday 26th October 2018 at 7pm.  It promises to be an evening of fun and food for everyone. Most importantly, you will help to improve the Church Stretton Christmas lights by raising money to pay for more. Last year you helped raise over £1200 so this year the Town Council is installing more lights in Sandford Avenue and the High Street.  That’s an extra boost to Church Stretton’s Christmas festivities. The Christmas lights cost more now than they used to because the Council has to employ contractors whereas previously volunteers did the hard work.

A Great Family Evening

picture of a Pork Bap & Apple SauceCome along and enjoy Pork baps with apple sauce and a fascinating demonstration of Pig Jointing and Sausage Making by local butchers’ Houghs. You can even have a go at sausage-making yourself! Besides enjoying the baps, you will be helping to brighten the town in the lead-up to Christmas.

The bar will be provided by The King’s Arms and the event includes an auction and raffle and promises to be a great family evening.
